Basic Tracking / Recording

We can handle just about any basic Tracking / Recording of Tracks. A double caged drum set is constantly set up and miked. Just about any instruments can be handled with various dynamic and condenser mics of many different manufactures available. Direct inputs of amplified instruments as well as miked cabinets are possible. We have Marshall, Laney (Tony Iommi Signature) and Behringer Amps available, with *bunches* of stomp boxes to get just about any sound you might think of..

Mixing

Mixing with a relative unlimited number of tracks is possible, but NOT preferred on the same day that
Tracking / Recording has been done. It's just too fatiguing on the ears, and it's best to have a fresh outlook when doing that. Analog and digital mixing is available with most formats supported in the digital domain.

Mastering

Mastering is one of our specialties. This can be done analog, digital, or a combination of both. We have many examples of mastering and remastering that we've done for various clients, if references are needed. Mastering is one of the MOST important things that you one can have done with their recording to make it sound 'professional'

Format Transfers

We can digitally or using analog transfer most audio formats to digital, including 1/4" Reel to Reel, 2 Track and 4 Track, 1/2" 8 Track Reel to Reel, Cassette audio, DAT, ADAT, SVHS, 3/4" Umatic, CD24, VHS, Quad LP, LP, SACD, DVDa, etc. One of our favorite specialties is transferring old Quad Reel to Reel or LPs to digital DTS 5.1 Surround!

Video Services

Most video formats supported, for editing, transferring, DVD transfers, etc. We can also give you a 'video record' of your SMC Productions recording  sessions, edit, and burn to DVD, SVHS, or VHS format.
